The Langley Range

Here at the Active Toy Company, we have combined a flair for design with an extensive knowledge of timber climbing equipment to create a rustic, sturdy and sophisticated range of frames. The range is completely modular, and you can effectively create your own climbing combination containing whatever you like, however you like. You can also start off small with the option to develop and extend sets in the future!

The main building blocks of our range are the Langley Play Tower and the Langley Play Fort, which has a fortress roof. The Langley Access Ladder provides a traditional route up to these stylish platforms – but for the more adventurous, there is the Ramp and Rope, the Net and Poles, a Climbing Wall or even the Langley Snake Ladder! Once up there are a variety of options for making a hasty exit. The robust Green polymer slide is a bestseller, and provides a fun route down to the ground. Alternatively, the Spiral Slide will send you whizzing round in circles on your way down! For the ultimate sliding experience there is the Turbo Slide, and please note for this you will need an extra high Play Fort and an extra internal platform as it's so large!

Most of the add-on options are designed to attach to either, or both, of these products. One popular combination is to have a Single, Double or Triple Langley Swing arm attached to one of these towers. We have a wide range of swing seats available, from wooden toddler seats and wraparound seats to the Timber Twin Seat or the plastic Duo Ride. Further, most of the TP swing seats are also compatible with our frames. Additionally (or, alternatively), why not take a look at the Ladder Walk or the Langley Net Bridge, which could connect a Tower to a Fort? These help create a really exciting and challenging play area that will entertain your children and their friends for many years to come. The Ladder Walk, alongside our Monkey bars, is also available as a stand-alone product.

Both the Tower and the Fort can have products attached to each of their four sides, and almost anything that functions is possible - so do give us a call if you'd like to discuss anything further. We can construct a variety of quotes for you to consider if you've got some ideas, and our experienced team will be happy to provide site visits and creative input if necessary! Please note that these frames are designed to be concreted into the ground for stability.

TP Frames

TP have a few options within their range: at the smaller end of the scale are the Forest Climbers, followed by the Sherwood Deck and then the Sherwood Tower, and finally – the largest and most comprehensive of their climbing frames – the Kingswood. Which is most suitable for you depends on your budget, how much space you have available and how long you want it to last for and it's worth considering all of these carefully before making a choice!

If you are looking for something small and compact for a young child, then take a look at the TP Forest Range. The Forest Multiplay (TP 152) is a double swing and slide combination, which includes a single swing seat and a two child glide ride. Suitable for ages 3-8 it features a small ladder and platform with a straight slide for extra fun! The Deck Chair and Junior Seat also fit onto this swing, and why not add the TP223 Slide Extension for extra protection?

The next step up in the Forest Range is the Forest Tower Set (TP 153) – the same idea but a bit bigger and better! Again it comes complete with a double swing frame, with a single and double swing attachment included. This time however there is an enclosed, roofed tower on the end, with a big platform space, fireman's pole and three strand rigging up the side! Again the Deck Chair and Junior Seat are compatible along with the TP 223 Slide Extension.

If you're not so worried about the swings, or perhaps already have a swing set, then take a look at the Forest Climber (TP 239). A versatile frame with plenty of add on options, it comes with a two door den and two generous platforms. Attach a CrazyWavy Slide and a Climber Net (TP 244) for more variation! If you want something a bit more eclectic then why not push the boat out and buy the Forest Pirate Galleon (TP 700)! With a Captain's Cabin, Deck, Ships Wheel, Gangplank AND two Pirate Flags, get ready to set sail for hours of creative fun.

Next up is the Sherwood Deck (TP811). This is ideal if you want a full size swing and a platform with climbing options and a slide attached. The Deck is compatible with a Single, Double or Triple Sherwood swing arm, and comes with climbing rungs on both sides. Popular additions are the Sherwood Base Den (TP 443) and Sherwood Canopy (TP 442) which enclose the deck to create the perfect hideaway! Both the CrazyWavy and the Rapide Slide fit onto this deck, and please note that the Sherwood Rung for Slide is needed for the Rapide. For an extra bit of climbing fun, why not fix the Climbing Rope (TP 722) onto the end?

The Sherwood Tower is a slightly larger and more versatile option, with a roomy 'tree house' rather than just a platform. Again, the Single Double and Triple Swing Arms are compatible, along with the CrazyWavy or Rapide Slide bodies. Both the Rigging (TP 817) and the Climbing Hoops (TP 820) attach onto the Sherwood Tower to extend its climbing potential. To further develop the frame (or, as an idea to bear in mind for a future add on) look at the Sherwood Outpost (TP 810) and Ladder (TP818). This extra platform comes complete with climbing rungs and the ladder, which functions as a set of monkey bars, attaches on to create a challenging access point to the tower.

Finally, there is the top quality Kingswood range which can 'grow' from toddler height to full height. The main component of this is the Kingswood Low Tower (TP 480) – a roofed fortress with two sides enclosed and plenty of add-on options. Attach the Short Ladder (TP 487) and the CrazyWavy slide for a play station which is suitable from 18 months +, and why not add the Hideaway Panels (pair TP 490) to complete the den? The Kingswood Single (TP ) and Double (TP 492) Swing Arms are both compatible at this low height.

To raise this up to full height, simply add the Kingswood Top Deck (TP 482) – the swing arms will grow with it. At this height all of the TP swing attachments are compatible. If you don't want a swing, or if you want even more variation, add the Accessory Arm (TP 493). Now you can add either a Climbing Rope (TP 722) or the Climbing Wall (TP 494)! If you want to go the full measure and experience the ultimate in swinging and climbing fun, the Climbing Bridge (TP 485) and the Horizontal Hoops (TP 484) will complete the set for you.
