A real favourite with all climbing kids out there. Not only does this garden swing package have space for 1 swing attachment (choose and order yours seperately-see related items below or garden swing attachment section) on it but it also has a free climbing rope included to hang on the extension section of the top bar. But it doesn't end there. Oh no. There is also a challenging climbing wall and ladder at one end of the swing frame.

Not for the faint-hearted but a challenge that will keep them entertained for years, the climbing wall is constructed from marine plywood with real rock climbing grips on it (not wooden steps as shown in photo 1) and an abseiling rope to help them up or down. Once they have reached the summit they can descend using the ladder on the other side or vice-versa.

The whole frame is anchored to the ground with large steel ground anchors and conforms to European Safety Standard EN71-8. Made from selected Spruce or Pine wood, these rounded timber frames make a unique rustic addition to any garden design or domestic play area!

A Note on the Wood

Timber frames are an attractive and rustic choice for your garden; however, wood is an organic material and it expands or contracts in certain weather conditions. As a result cracks can sometimes appear in the poles, although these will often disappear when the weather is wet. Please note that although these cracks can be both long and wide, Houtland Play Equipment is designed with a knowledge of timber that ensures they will not affect the structural integrity of the frames or swings in the slightest.

The timber used is sourced from small trees, as this ensures its strength and durability, and it is then cut, milled and drilled before entering the kilns for pressure treatment. With a ten year guarantee on the frame for structural failure caused by rot, you can rest assured that Houtland equipment will continue to provide hours of fun for your children as they grow. All Houtland frames are designed for use in private gardens by children between the ages of 3 and 12. Please note some swing seats have their own age restrictions and have varying guarantees of 1 year or more.
